I haven't posted since last March. I'm not sure why - just haven't. We are now into September and with that comes the arrival of fall here in Mexico. As I've mentioned before, the mountains are beginning to explode with colours of yellow and orange as the wildflowers and sunflowers begin to bloom. A beautiful time of year here - the sun is lovely and hot, the breezes are cool and everything is lush and green after the rainy season. Soon it will be time, just like at home to add a blanket to the bed.
We had a nice spring - headed back to Ontario in early April for 2 weeks. I went back again in late May - the spring was full of dealings with family members medical issues and we were very much wanting to be there to support our loved ones through some tough times.
The rainy season this year has been light. We didn't get the usual torrential storms that we have the last couple of years. The lake level is very low and it is the topic of government and local conversation. Long story about the lake that I will post separately about.
My sister Sandy has just left after coming for a visit. We enjoyed every minute of our time together. It is so wonderful to have family come to visit. While we don't have many visitors, those that have come seem to really enjoy their time while here.
We are happy here and continue to enjoy our lives. Busy days with errands, friends, our dogs, and quiet times with each other keep us spirited. So many health issues with friends, family and ourselves this year that it makes you realize just how fragile life is. Time to join the gym, and that is just what we've done. It should be fun to watch ourselves improve as the months tick by.
I wonder if they sell Ben-Gay down here?
